Canggu Power Vortex or Getaway Resort? – Temples, Textiles and Tribes

I do not know about any vortex, but this is a powerful view out a side window.

October, 2021. Bali, Indonesia has not lost the ability to surprise. For example, I am always drawn to one location here in Canggu, Bali, but still cannot figure it out. What the heck is this place? I always wander around here amazed. Maybe you can help. Please, look at these photos and help me figure out this puzzle. Is this place:

A Botanic Garden?

Hindu Temple?

Japanese Embassy?

Garden View Apartments?

Municipal Swimming Pool?

Horticulture Sculpture Garden?

Tree House Among the Mangos?

Or Just Beauty in the Eye of All Beholders?

In truth, this place is all of these things, (except the Japanese Embassy), plus this is where I live in Canggu. I hang my hat at:

Serenity’s expansive common facilities makes it more like a resort than than a standard guest house. For example, Serenity Eco Guest House has restaurant room service that extends throughout the property. Serenity’s restaurant, Alkaline, will deliver poolside or anywhere else, everything on it’s full-service menu —from a complete meal to a fresh coconut with a papaya reed straw. Serenity is really a full-service, hotel complex in the middle of a tropical garden. Lodgers can be one-night guests or year long residents.

Sustainable Living Space

Serenity Eco Guest House is as close to self-sustaining as possible: permaculture; waste water recycling; composting; rubbish recycling, and vermiculture (worm farm), among other steps of ecological wisdom. Serenity sells organic health compounds, household items and vegan prepared food (try the delicious ice “cream”) Many of these items are available in Alkaline, Serenity’s full-service organic vegan/raw food restaurant and bakery. Serenity has a nearby organic farm. The farm supplies a lot of the produce used at Alkaline, or prepared for counter sale as food or supplements, and also sold in a daily farmer’s market in Serenity’s main lobby.
