About This Journey

In June 2019, attorney and teacher Zephyr Carlyle punched out on the time clock at work. He packed his bags, and fled the United States. Zephyr has been a refugee with a credit card every since; and looking for a new place to hang his hat. Zephyr follows his tried-and-true AAA road map. He continues his life-long journey of traveling to countries in Africa, Asia, and the Americas. With the exception of Mother Russia, Zephyr tends not to go to countries filled with White People. After all, he is one and finds the Land of Other White People to be, well, boring.

Zephyr has travelled the world and the seven seas. His goal is to visit every major inhabited region of the world. Along the way, Zephyr has lived in several countries: Mexico, Peru, Egypt, and currently, Indonesia. Zephyr writes about his continuing journeys, transformations, and the impact he has on the people around him. In addition, Zephyr writes short stories, essays, and dabbles in poetry (he needs help) — all of which can be accessed in this journal. This journey is also about finding beauty. Beauty can be found among the magical or the mundane.
